Ressac

RESSAC

Festival Les Beaux Jours / Biarritz / F / June 2016

Ressac is a large-scale video scenography created by Yannick Jacquet for the Festival Les Beaux Jours in Biarritz. Designed as a 180-degree visual environment, the project brings together images filmed at water level along the Atlantic coast, capturing the movement, texture and light of the ocean.

Composed in dialogue with the music of Maurice Ravel, the piece unfolds as a slow visual narration oscillating between landscape and abstraction. Waves, reflections and fragments of the shoreline dissolve into an immersive moving composition, creating a sensory experience deeply connected to the local context of Biarritz and its relationship to the ocean.
